About Andreas

Andreas Mikkelsen (born 22 June 1989) is a Norwegian rally driver, who grew up in Oslo and Switzerland.

Andreas passed his driving test in England just a few days after celebrating his 17th birthday. He followed this up by taking part in and winning the Quinton Stages rally, thereby becoming the youngest driver ever to win this event.

In 2008, Andreas came in 5th place in Rally Sweden and became the youngest rally driver ever to score points in a WRC event. In the same year, he also went on to win Rally Finnskog and Rally Numedal. Andreas also used to be one of Norway’s talented young alpine skiers, in addition to being a promising motocross driver.

In 2009, Andreas became Norwegian Rally Champion in Group N and clear overall winner of the Subaru Cup. He also won the Spanish asphalt event Rally Costa Brava.

Andreas Mikkelsen has several coaches, one of whom is double World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm and Roy Snellingen.
